After two incredible years, we are excited to present the third annual Philly Favorites, proudly brought to you by The Philadelphia Inquirer. What began as a celebration of the remarkable businesses, organizations, and individuals that make this region extraordinary has quickly grown into a cherished tradition — one that highlights the very best of the Philadelphia area, chosen by the people who know it best: you.
The Philadelphia area is a place where history meets innovation, where neighborhoods each have their own character, and where local businesses are part of the fabric of everyday life. From corner delis and family-owned restaurants to cutting-edge healthcare, local services, and vibrant shopping districts, the region is built on hard work, pride, and a strong sense of community. Philly fans are passionate, residents are loyal to their local favorites, and that hometown pride is exactly what makes this program so special.
This year, the enthusiasm has only grown stronger. With more than 10,000 individuals and companies involved across 313 categories and more than 468,000 votes cast — a 38% increase year over year — it’s clear that Philadelphians take pride in their local favorites. From beloved institutions to exciting newcomers, every vote cast is a testament to the passion, quality, and dedication that define our region’s vibrant business community.
Nominations took place from Jan. 5 to Jan. 16, followed by voting from Feb. 9 to Feb. 27, when the community came together to cast votes for their top picks. Audience members could vote once per day in each category, and after much anticipation, we are proud to announce this year’s 752 winners — businesses and individuals who have truly earned their place in the hearts of our community. Finishing in the top three of any category is a true accomplishment, and each winner should be incredibly proud of this recognition.
As we celebrate another year of Philly Favorites, we want to express our gratitude to everyone who contributed to this tradition. The passion, enthusiasm, and love for our community are what make Philly Favorites possible, and we look forward to continuing this tradition with you for years to come.
